So, in Soul Eater, Liz wasn't around for Kid to use as a gun, but Patti was. But Kid didn't use Patti because then he would be asymmetrical only holding one gun. But he had a crazy guy shooting at him. And he still wouldn't risk being asymmetrical. WTF, KID!!!
